Why PXLogic

One instrument, from hardware all the way to AI.

PXLogic isn't just another logic analyzer — hardware, software, protocol stack and AI automation are co-designed within one open-source ecosystem.

1 GSa/s Real-Time Sampling

32 channels at up to 50 MHz full-speed capture; narrow-channel mode reaches 1 GSa/s. USB 3.0 SuperSpeed direct connection, with Stream mode for ultra-deep continuous capture.

220+ Protocol Decoders

Built on the sigrok decoder ecosystem with a dual engine of Python plus high-performance C: I²C, SPI, UART, CAN-FD, USB, SDIO, JTAG, I²S, Modbus and more, out of the box.

AI-Ready (MCP)

Built-in MCP server and Web Console let tools like Claude Code and Codex control capture, configure triggers and read decoded results through natural language.

Fully Open Source

PXView source code is public on GitHub, built on the sigrok / DSView ecosystem. Auditable, customizable, and open to contributions.

Cross-Platform

A native Qt6 desktop app with installers for Windows / Linux / macOS — a consistent UI and capture experience on every platform.

Test-Automation Friendly

PXView headless daemon + MCP / WebSocket API + CLI plug signal capture seamlessly into CI/CD and production-test pipelines.

PXView Software

PXView: turn live captures into searchable engineering evidence.

Open-source cross-platform software with native support for the entire PX-Logic family, plus a wide range of third-party instruments.

Capture

LA / DSO / MSO Modes

Logic analyzer, oscilloscope and mixed-signal modes in one app; digital and analog channels side by side, with hot-plug auto-reconnect.

Analysis

Trigger · Filter · Measure · Search

Simple / Advanced / Stage / Serial triggers; glitch filtering with histogram visualization; cross-channel pattern search with up to 10,000 results.

Decode

Dual-Engine Protocol Stack

Switch on demand between the high-performance C engine and the Python engine; decoder layers stack directly on waveform tracks, with CSV / Binary export.

Sessions

Multi-Session Workflow

Independent sessions store captures, waveform views and decoded results (.pxc) — save, restore, review and compare in one flow.

AI · Automation

MCP Server + PXView Headless Mode

Built-in MCP HTTP API (port 10110) and WebSocket (port 10430). Start PXView --headless to let AI tools or test scripts remotely drive the device, capture signals and decode — the same API serves interactive analysis and automated production testing alike.

Protocol Decoders

222 decoders, from board-level buses to automotive networks.

Integrates the sigrok decoder ecosystem with a Python + C dual engine — both the Python decoder library and the C decoder library are fully open source. Type a keyword to check protocol support instantly:

222 / 222

The list stays in sync with the pxview-fork branch; decoder management, stacking and options are available in PXView's built-in decoder manager.

    ⚡ C Decoders · Faster

Common Python decoders have been rewritten in C: dramatically faster decoding — even ultra-long captures produce instant results — while output stays identical to the Python versions. 214 protocols are covered (marked with the C Fast badge in the list); PXView automatically prefers the C engine.

    Custom Decoders Supported

Write your own protocol decoder in Python following the sigrok PD API and drop it into the decoders directory — PXView loads it directly. Proprietary buses and private protocols all work. Start from the example template in the repository.

    Device Compatibility

    Not just our own hardware.

PXView compiles 89+ drivers on top of the libsigrok hardware abstraction layer — that old logic analyzer or oscilloscope in your drawer will most likely just work.

    Tier 1

    Native Full Support

The entire PX-Logic family + built-in Demo device: full GUI, all capture modes and decoding capabilities.

    Tier 2

    USB Plug & Play

About 31 USB drivers auto-detected: DSLogic, Saleae Logic, Kingst LA, ASIX Sigma, ZeroPlus, Hantek, Rigol, Siglent and more.

    Tier 3

    Serial / SCPI Extended

56+ serial and SCPI instrument drivers: multimeters, programmable power supplies, LCR meters and more, connected via the MCP API or connection parameters.

    Open Source

    Standing on sigrok's shoulders,
with every line of code public.

PXView is built on the sigrok project and DSView, with improvements contributed back. The core app, hardware drivers, decode engine and build scripts are all open on GitHub — audits, customizations and contributions are welcome. Firmware upgrades, the user manual and decoder development guides are also provided in the repository.
